IV Sedation

Is Sedation Dentistry right for you?

IV Sedation

                                                  Oral Sedation

  1.   Are you terrified of dentists
  2.   Have you had a bad dental experience
  3.   Are your hands sweating just to pick up the phone to make the call?
  4.   Do you need someone to hold your hand just to walk in the door?

If you don't want to be aware of what's happening during your procedure and would rather wake up completely ready to leave the office then IV sedation is right for you.  If it helps, why not!

We offer IV Sedation, Oral Sedation, and Nitrous Oxide.  Upon your first visit with  Dr. Hawkes he will make an assessment of your anxiety disorder.   He will  determine the appropriate sedation needs to make your dental visits more comfortable and in time you may find that your anxiety will diminish as you get to know us and become more confident in the new dental techniques.  Keep in mind that most of the "bad" experiences people have are a result of ignoring the dental problem until it becomes acute.

Sedation may not be right for everyone!  A history of your health will be taken down and your blood pressure taken.  If there are no contraindications, we will go over the necessary paper work with you and educate you on the particular procedure in conjunction with the sedation.  Most importantly, you must have a driver.
